Hairstylist apprentice needed in Canada by H2GOA HAIR SALON
It involves assisting with the upkeep of the salon, dealing with clients, carrying out hairdressing services and assisting colleagues. You will develop valuable practical experience by working in a salon environment and being exposed to a high standard of professional hairdressing on a day to day basis.

This apprenticeship is full time employment with training. It involves assisting with the upkeep of the salon, dealing with clients, carrying out hairdressing services and assisting colleagues. You will develop valuable practical experience by working in a salon environment and being exposed to a high standard of professional hairdressing on a day to day basis. The practical skills you learn will be underpinned by the theoretical aspects and gain a nationally recognised hairdressing qualification and apprenticeship certificate. The apprenticeship is delivered in partnership with training provider ITS and includes English and maths.
Responsibilities
- Assisting Stylists with hair styling and colouring for a diverse range of client hair types
- Shampooing and conditioning client’s hair and applying hair treatments and head massages
- Greeting clients, providing refreshments and helping to maintain the salon appearance
- Attending formal Aveda training sessions as required and learning to advise clients on Aveda hair products
- Learning to use the electronic point of sale system and dealing with some aspects of daily expenditure
- Staying up-to-date on hairdressing trends and continually striving to grow (you will be part of a highly knowledgeable winning team who will provide excellent support)
Requirements
- Previous experience would be an advantage but is not absolutely necessary
- You must be passionate about the hairdressing industry and keen to learn from experienced Stylists
- You must be a good communicator and have a friendly attitude
- Computer literacy and the ability to learn the salon appointment booking system is required (training provided)
- As a candidate you must be someone that enjoys working under pressure assisting the team in busy periods
- We will provide academic support for NVQ Level 2 & 3
- You will be attending the Aveda academy for exclusive courses
